About Instrument Restoration

I graduated from Texas Christian University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Music Education.. After graduation I began my repair career under the supervision of my mentor, Bob Stailey. I began my apprecnticeship in 1975 with Bob at C&S music in Fort Worth. At the time the store was located on Belknap Street. I have since repaired instruments for the following companies: Meridith Wilson Music (LaPorte) , Brook Mays Music (Houston), Barth's Band Shoppe (Stafford), and Band Instrument Exchange(Houston). I earned my Master of Education degree from the University of Houston in 1985. I now work in my "one man" shop in Sugar Land.

I wish to thank all that have contributed to my expertise in the repair field. In addition to Bob Stailey I would like to thank Bob Hester, Bill Barth, Ray Lennox, and Bobbi Prewitt. I also want to thank my wife, Robyn, and my two sons for their patience and understanding, letting me do what inspires me as a craft and art form.
